Supply List

Below is the supply list. You don't need to have everything on the list. Many of them are just alternatives in case you don't have a certain product.

You will need watercolor or mixed media paper for each technique at least 300GSM (140lbs). Alternatively you can work in your art journal.

It is also important to have a heat tool or dryer handy to dry our backgrounds in between steps. This will help speed up the process.

I have itemized each technique below with alternatives.

Technique 1: Plastic wrap (Sarran Wrap), Paint brush, Watercolors (alternative for watercolors are water soluble sprays such as Lindy's or Distress Spray Stain, other options are Lindy's magicals or water soluble inks)

Technique 2: Coarse or Kosher Salt, Isopropyl or Rubbing Alcohol, Watercolors. (same alternatives for watercolors as in technique 1), paint brush, old plastic card, dropper or needle tip bottle.

Technique 3: Birthday candles, watercolors, paint brush

Technique 4: Collage papers (these can be scrapbook paper, ephemera tissue paper, napkins, magazines, etc. Gel Medium (I prefer Liquitex Matte medium but you can also use other brands like Modpodge, Golden, Finnabair, etc)

Technique 5: Fabric pieces, Gel medium (same as alternatives as in technique 4)

Technique 6: Stencils (pick 2 of your favorite stencils), Modelling paste (an alternative is thick white gesso), Palette knife or silicone blade.

Technique 7: Sprays (I will be using distress spray stains but an alternative is Lindy's sprays or other water soluble sprays. If you don't have sprays you can use your watercolors)

Technique 8: Random objects from around the house like lids, bubble wrap, plastic card, burlap, etc. Acrylic paint (any will work, bring your favorite colors)

Technique 9: White or black acrylic ink (use gesso as an alternative), Paint brush, watercolors, (or alternative to watercolors)

Technique 10: Distress Micro-Glaze, Any of the supplies listed above
